Analyzing MSN

What do you think it says about our society that this article on the tragic loss of the Air France flight...


...is followed by this story on the MSN home page?


And don't get me wrong, I love cake (and the one pictured is pretty amazing looking), but it just smacks of insensitivity that we can't set aside a reserved spot on the home page to cover the evolving Air France flight search. It gets the same amount of coverage time as the Cheese IQ test? Really, MSN content editors?

And don't even get me started on these video "highlights."

Really? That's what the President's using his time for? That's the hard-hitting journalism that Brian Williams and the crack news team at the NBC Nightly News is bringing us? Never mind that pesky North Korea/South Korea missile business, there are dogs being talked about. I'm sure Bo's temperament is critical to national security, but let's get a grip, people.
